Double Benefit Biofungisida

Double Benefit BiofungisidaWho does not know with the rubber plant (Hevea brassiliensis) ??? Surely already know pal, because rubber plant is one of Indonesia's mainstay export commodities. The role of rubber and its processed products on national exports can not be considered small in 2015. Indonesia is the world's second largest rubber producer with 3.15 million tons after Thailand with production of 4.07 million tons.

Rubber tree is like a money tree, confused yes why can be called a money tree. The answer is because the rubber plant can continue to be tapped up to the age of 20 years if the treatment is done well and haranya fulfilled. Ordinary rubber plants are tapped every 2 or 3 days if the plant conditions remain in good condition. If you tap rubber every 1 day it means you are cruel, why really cruel why? Because it is like we have people working but not given time to rest and eat.

Cultivation of rubber is not as easy as sengon or teak lho lho, this is due to the many diseases that attack rubber plants from the roots, stems, and plant leaves.

White Root Fungus (JAP) causes the greatest loss in the cultivation of rubber plants (Hevea brassiliensis) due to plant mortality and high cost for disease control. As the name white root fungus attacks on the root of the rubber plant. Root is one of the vital parts for plants, such as the heart of the plant because most of the needs of plants such as water and nutrients are supplied through plant roots.

Getas Research Institute is one of the centers engaged in rubber research. the hall was established on January 1, 1964. There are 5 research areas at Getas Research Institute namely agronomy, physiology, plant breeding, pests and diseases, as well as soil and fertilization.

One of the research results from Getas Research Institute is the use of biological control agents in preventing or suppressing the attack of white root fungus disease. Getas Research Institute develops a product in the form of biofungisida which is active from Trichodermadengan trademark "Triko Combi". Trichoderma is easily found in rooting plants and in soil.

Previously we find out what is biofungisida. Biophyllides are all types of living organisms that can be used to control fungi that act as pests or disease causes in plants, animals, and humans. From experience in the field, the dominant disease in cultivation plants is caused by fungi.

This disease can cause rot at the root or base of the stem of the plant. Trichoderma koningiidan other Trichoderma species are ground infectious fungi, which once administered and settled in the soil will forever persist. So in this case control using Trichodermatergolong mushroom as controlling with long term.

As for the biofungicide culture we must have antagonistic fungi isolate as I use Trichoderma or others which will be used as the source or active ingredient. The steps in obtaining Trichoderma isolates are the preparation of culture media, isolation, purification, and propagation. The entire activity should be carried out in an aseptic environment and usually performed on LAF (Laminar Air Flow).

Stages in the manufacture of biofungisida itself fairly easy if we already have isolates Trichoderma. Various media used as a growing medium and Trichoderma carriers have been developed such as corn, groats, and rice. The many techniques of fungicide culture are as follows:

1. Cook the corn or maize until half cooked (10 minutes).2. Cool at room temperature.

3. Insert it on a plastic container.

4. Enter the Trichoderma root that has been taken and stirred in a sterile distilled water into the medium.

5. Beat the already added medium with Trichoderma.

6. Tie the plastic container to tightly cover and incubate it in 1 night at a room with a certain room temperature.

7. Open the bonds and dry the biofungicide over the tarpaulin so as not to get too wet (done in the room).

8. Add bran to the culture medium.

9. Biofungisida ready to be marketed or applied.

Trichoderma in addition to organism decomposers, can also function as a biological agent and stimulator of plant growth. Trichoderma can inhibit the growth and spread of toxic fungi causing diseases for plants. So not only white root mushrooms that can be inhibited the growth of many more like Fusarium and many other masuh. Kerenkan buddy benefit Trichoderma mushroom for once rowing plants 2 to 3 islands exceeded. In addition to the benefits of Trichoderma as biofungisida but also benefit the Trichoderma as the decomposers of trichoderma remnants belonging to the soil endophytic fungi, where Trichoderma able to process organic materials in the soil so that later easily absorbed plants as nutrients. By not using chemical fungicides indirectly we take care to preserve the environment.

For the application of biofungisida is also fairly easy that is by digging a hole around the roots of the plant and live directly sowing and then the hole re-filled the soil, planting dose is 25 grams per plant. Trichoderma biophysiide is suppressing the growth of White Root Fungus instead of lethal, so it is recommended to be applied from the nursery phase as a preventive measure.
