In the development of seeds, especially vegetable seeds is the task of this government research institute, the Vegetable Research Institute. Balitsa itself is located in the village of Cikole, District Lembang, West Bandung regency, West Java Province.

Balitsa focus is engaged in research and development of vegetable crops has a duty and function. The main task of balitsa is to carry out research and development of the plant. The function is:

Implementation of programming, work plan, budget, evaluation and report of vegetable crops research;
Implementation of genetic research, breeding, seedling and utilization of vegetable germplasm plant;
Implementation of morphology, physiology, ecology, entomology and fitopathology of vegetable plants;
Implementation of research component of system technology and agribusiness of vegetable plant;
Implementation of research on handling of vegetable crops;
Providing technical services for vegetable crops research;
Preparation of information and documentation cooperation, and dissemination and utilization of research results of vegetable crops;
Implementation of personnel affairs, finance, household and equipment.

Vegetable seed production activity is one of the tasks of Balitsa. In seed production activities of cultivation techniques used in the same manner as in general cultivation, the only thing that distinguishes is the use of more enhanced P fertilizer elements. In general steps in seed production are:

1. Land Processing

Soil processing is one of the important activities in the cultivation of crops, especially on land or fields. 2. Seedlings

Seed processing activities
