Dear Minister of Environment,
What we respect, Head of SMA 2 Bantul,
Our Honor, Mr. and Mrs. Guru SMA 2 Bantul,
and a happy audience.
First of all, let us say thanksgiving to the presence of Allah SWT who has given us His gift so that we can gather in this place with healthy walafiat. On this occasion, I want to deliver a speech entitled Global Warming hit, how is the fate of our children and grandchildren?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Lately, global warming has become one of the global issues that often get the media spotlight. The impact is quite apprehensive, making many parties participate moved to participate in addressing this serious global problem. Then, what the heck is global warming it? Global warming is a condition in which the earth's temperature increases due to the reciprocity of CO2 trapping in the Earth's atmosphere. Caught this CO2 often we call the greenhouse effect that makes the air temperature increased or increased heat. Sense of temperatures that we often experience, is only one of the mild impact of the increasingly severe global warming.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
No effect if no cause. Similarly, the more concern global warming certainly can not be separated from human intervention alone. In fact, without us knowing it, we can also contribute in exacerbating the effects of global warming, you know! For example, the use of plastic bags excessive and can not be recycled. Although now the effect we have not felt, could be a few years to come the negative effects will be back on our own. In addition, the use of refrigeration devices such as air conditioners and refrigerators is also one of the causes of increasingly severe global warming because the cooling tools would use a freon that can perforate the ozone layer. Waste of energy, the use of fossil fuels beyond the normal limits, deforestation or the destruction of green land and waste of paper was also contributing in enlarging the negative effects of global warming. Wow .. very worry ..
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Of course lately we often feel the small impact of global warming. Yes, the temperature is getting hotter and makes us flood sweat. But it's only a mild impact. There is something worse than the heat that always attacks us. Remember us with the event of melting ice or the collapse of the polar iceberg? If the ice at the poles is melting, what would happen? The earth's rising temperatures are clear, but if the sea's surface grows higher, this we can not take for granted. The islands with low land surface will surely be drowned. In addition, perforated ozone layer that makes UV rays can penetrate the earth's atmosphere, will make the world's population experience many skin disorders such as cancer and skin irritation. Not only that impact of UV rays. Trees in the world will also be many who die because of photosynthesis disturbed by UV rays. If many trees are dead, the life of the inhabitants of the earth is also certainly disturbed. The world's inhabitants will experience food crises and the lands become dry and turn into deserts. Imagine how hot the earth is when the earth is dominated by a barren desert. Duh, it's terrible yes .. It's even more terrible, just in case there is no real effort from the inhabitants of the world, especially starting from ourselves to overcome or at least tackle this serious global problem. Then, what efforts can we do to minimize the worsening global warming? In fact, many efforts we can do, ranging from small things, such as using enough electrical equipment as an effort to save energy, recycle plastic waste into something that is economical and has added value. In addition to minimize the impact of worse global warming, the results of recycling can also be sold for additional income. Reforestation or tree planting should not be missed in our efforts to cope with global warming. It would be better if the plants or trees that we planted to absorb a lot of CO2 in the air, such as trees munggur or trembesi, aloe vera and Sansevieria (tongue-in-law). In addition, fossil fuel savings, the use of alternative or renewable energy and paper savings can also be our efforts in tackling global warming. Although from small things, but if we do it sincerely and routinely, God willing will bring positive impacts and major changes for the survival of generations to come. Do not let us pass on and gift our children and grandchildren with hot, damaged and uncomfortable earth. A strong determination and a real effort to start ourselves will certainly produce an impact
