YOGYAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Toward Christmas, various churches make an interesting Christmas tree ornaments. One of them is in Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta.
Uniquely, the Christmas tree that made the church Christian Church of Java (GKJ) Baran, District Rongkop, derived from mineral water bottled water. At least, 2017 used bottles used as Christmas trees.
The tree is kept in the church yard, on the edge of Jalan Rongkop-Wonosari. Christmas tree from mineral water bottles will be more beautiful when viewed at night. The multicolored lights shone down from under a series of splendid Christmas trees.
Reverend GKJ Baran, Sabat Prayogi said, this Christmas tree was built using 2017 plastic waste bottles are widely found. In addition some time ago the church congregation to collect garbage around the beach located in the area Rongkop and Girisubo.
"Christmas tree was built in early November and began to be installed December 1 to January 1," he told Kompas.com, Thursday (21/12/2017) night.

He hopes, this tree adds to the joy of Christmas, not only for the congregation but also the surrounding community. Because, this Christmas tree is installed in the front yard of the church so as to add to the beauty of the night around him.
"We want to bring the joy of Christmas enjoyed by everyone," he said.
Sabbath Prayogi revealed, this Christmas tree has a height of 7 meters with a diameter of 4 meters. In addition, there is a small christmas tree as high as 1.5 meters. Trees from the bottles used to invite people to love the environment.
"Tourism in Gunungkidul Regency is increasing, and the garbage problem also increases, so we invite the community to maintain the environment," he explained.
One resident, Linda admitted deliberately came to the church to just take pictures in front of this unique Christmas tree. "Christmas tree is nice and unique because it is made of used bottles," he concluded.
