Apple has announced the certainty of the date of the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2017. Apple app developer application gathering event will be held on June 5 to June 9.
There are different from this WWDC event compared to last year. Instead of being held in San Francisco, the event location will be shifted to the McEnery Convention Center located in San Jose.
What made Apple move WWDC place from last year? A number of parties have speculated that the reason is related to the increase in conference location rental rates in San Francisco.
Because of the hefty cost, Apple moved WWDC to the quieter city of San Jose and provided a conference arena with more friendly rental rates.
In addition, according to Apple, the conference venue in San Jose is able to accommodate the same number of people with the Moscone Center in San Francisco that Apple normally uses for the WWDC event.
WWDC 2017 is expected to be attended by about 5,000 developers and 1,000 Apple engineers, as KompasTekno summarizes from 9to5mac, Sunday (19/2/2017).
Apple itself has announced new venues and WWDC timeframes from long distances, so that participants can plan trips better.
For the Apple engineers, the transfer of the venue to San Jose is quite profitable. The reason, Apple headquarters centered in Cupertino, which is relatively close from San Jose.
In this year's WWDC event, Apple is allegedly going to introduce a variety of new software for various gadgets besutannya, including iOS 11, macOS 10.13, tvOS, and also a new watchOS.
Apple also sometimes introduces new hardware devices in the WWDC arena, beyond the iPhone which is usually announced in September every year.
