Tomorrow, PBNU protests about Jerusalem to the United States EmbassyJAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) will hold a rally to the Embassy of the United States in Jakarta on Friday (8/12/2017).

The action is a form of strong condemnation of the PNBU against the recognition of US President Donald Trump over Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, replacing Tel Aviv. In fact, at this time Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine.

"From a large family of NU will send representatives of the board in a number of hundreds come to the United States embassy, ??after Friday prayers to declare attitude," said PBNU Secretary General, Helmi Faishal Zaini at the office of PBNU, Jakarta, Thursday (7/12/2017).

According to Helmi, currently NU's administrators in various regions have given much input to PBNU. Therefore, PBNU is also an initiative to represent, as well as deliver the inputs.

In addition, according to Helmi, PBNU has also communicated with religious leaders and organizations or groups in a number of countries to address this issue.

"The aspirations of the regions are already flowing, but while we will be represented by the big family of NU, GP Ansor, IPNU, IPPNU, Fatayat, GPNU, Pagar Nusa, represented by these young people to convey the attitude of NU," said Helmi.

Helmi hopes that the toughness of PBNU will be heard by the country of Abang Sam (USA), thus changing his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

"Hopefully this attitude is heard and there are fundamental changes, because we consider this will harm the United States itself," said Helmi.

"It must be a pressure all across Asia and the Middle East to have his government expelled, its ambassador will increase, because this is a form of treatment that violates human rights and agreement at the UN," he said.

The recognition is considered Trump as an important fact to achieve peace between the two countries that have been in conflict.

According to the property entrepreneur, recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is the right thing to do.
